mango pudding

So let's talk about sweets this time. I was intrigued by this Chinese dessert called mango pudding when it's certainly look like a mango jello.
It's my first time to make such dessert and this is the result of my own version:

Looks delicious eh?
This is a fun dessert for your family. My mom really loves my own version of mango pudding. I'm sure everyone will enjoy it, especially the kids or the kids at heart.

In making this mango pudding, you'll need:
  • 10 g of jelly powder (unflavored)
  • 5 mangoes, sliced into cubes
  • 1 cup or 250 ml evaporated milk ( I suggest Carnation Evap)
  • 2 cups or 500 ml water
  • 200 g white sugar
How to make mango pudding:
  1. Mix the jelly powder and white sugar with water. Cook it to low heat until all sugar is dissolved.
  2. Blend in the diced mangoes and evaporated milk into the mixture.
  3. Stir constantly until the mixture has already thickened.
  4. Pour into molds and place them in the freezer for at least an hour.
That simple! I hope you try this delicious dessert. It's very easy to make and the ingredients aren't so hard to find.
'till next time, bye! -k*

Latest addiction: Mochi Creme

Hello my fellow bloggers! This time I'm going to share to you my latest addiction and the only thing that I've always been craving for...it's mochi + ice cream = MOCHI CREME!

God must've heard my prayers because all this time I've always been craving for mochi and ice cream or frozen yogurt, and when I went to SM city Davao last September 3, I saw this stall at the 2nd floor and I was curious because of the store's name. I said to myself that I hope they're selling mochi ice cream, and guess what? They do!
Aren't they cute? :) Reminds me of the big Dango Family on the anime series Clannad

The flavors available are Green Tea Matcha, Azuki Read Bean, Black Sesame (all three flavore are for Php 42), Purple Yam, Mango, Chocolate, and Strawberry (flavors recently mentioned are all for Php 38)

I am hoping for more flavors soon! I hope they'd have vanilla :)

So far I have tried Strawberry, Azuki Red Bean, and Mango. Azuki Red Bean and Strawberry are my personal favorites, but too bad when I went to their store this afternoon, both flavors were not available so I bought Mango flavor instead.
 Cute isn't it?! *.*

 I'm a super mochi creme addict!! >.<

So guys if you're from Davao and you love mochi and ice cream as much as I do, you gotta try this Mochi Creme Japanese Ice Cream, located at the 2nd floor of SM city Davao near Chicco di Caffe. It's the perfect dessert for all you mochi addicts out there ;)

And for those of you who have tried this, what's your favorite flavor? -k*

iWalk the streets of Hong Kong

Hey my fellow bloggers! I'm sad to say that this is going to be my last post of my iWalk Diaries in Hong Kong. I do hope you've read my other posts about this travelling experience of mine.

So on my last few days I was able to explore more of the city. I went shopping, site-seeing, shopping, and eating :p
This photo was taken at the Avenue of the Stars at Tsim Sha Tsui, and from there you can see there's Central on the other side.
Me and my cousin, Quoi at the Tsim Sha Tsui ferry station

 Avenue of the Stars :)

Bruce Lee's hand print was supposed to be here, Avenue of the Stars is just recent and this action star passed away ages ago.

Bruce Lee's statue :)

There was one Tuesday afternoon where me, Brie, and her classmate Claudia went to see a movie, and that was Cars 2 in 3D. After the movie, we bought some Japanese food at the City Super and took it on the roof garden at the IFC mall. I bought Chicken Teriyaki Bento for only HK$ 48/Php 260! Can you imagine how expensive is the Chicken Teriyaki Bento at Teriyaki Boy? and it's not even that delicious because it's only a fast food chain.
That's me! Enjoying my late lunch :)

Eating while enjoying the view of the city

If you're a fan of Starbucks, like me, you'll definitely enjoy here. There's Starbucks everywhere! Like almost in every corner.

I promised my boyfriend that I'll order his favorite Caramel Frappe in Grande with his name on it. From Hong Kong with love
Going to Mong Kok :)
Well, the reason why I want to go to Mong Kok that day was I was looking for NYX cosmetics, unfortunately what I found was their main office, not a store. I suddenly e-mailed them when I got back from  shopping, but they replied very late. I was already in Davao when I read their reply, and they said that the NYX outlet in Hong Kong is at Sham Shui Po and Tsim Sha Tsui :(

Went here to buy some shoes..they're on sale! Imagine, shoes from HK$ 600+ were now only for HK$ 150-200/Php 814-1,085:)

Busy streets...Trivia: My top 3 fave clothing shops in Hong Kong are H&M, Cotton On, and Maple

I love frozen yogurt! That's why I've gotta try Yo Mama in IFC mall. It's a bit expensive compared here in the Philippines. Bought my froyo with my fave toppings of blueberries and mochi for HK$ 35/Php 190.

IFC mall. I go here like almost everyday.

Some people won't believe me that there's Jollibee in Hong Kong. Well, there you go guys!

Would you believe me if I say that this is on a top of a building? ;)

I believe that there's Yoshinoya in Manila, but I'm not so sure. Well anyways, Yoshinoya is a Japanese fast food chain in Hong Kong, but their chicken teriyaki bowl is sooo delicious! It's all worth it for HK$ 31/ Php 168

I really did enjoy this experience. For how many times I've been here, it taught me how to be independent in so many ways. You may think that I haven't been to Ocean Park (I've been there 10 years ago) or Disneyland (went there 2 years ago) or Macau (been there for my 18th birthday). I missed going to those places and I hope I'd be able to go there soon after I graduate this March.

If you're interested to visit Hong Kong, here are some places that you must check out:
  • Victoria Peak - Great place for food trippin' sight-seeing at night, shopping for souvenirs, and the famous wax museum.
  • Lan Kwai Fong - if you love to party all night long, this is the place to be!
  • Sham Shui Po, Central, Prince Edward, and Wan Chai - good place for shopping. No matter how much your budget is, you've got wide options from international to local brands.
  • Avenue of the Stars (Tsim sha Tsui) - Great place for taking a lot of photos.
  • Colourmix, Bonjour and Sasa - haha! these shops are for make up addicts! It's almost everywhere in Hong Kong. They've got a wide range of cosmetics and perfume brands. It's totally heaven!
So that's all for my iWalk Diaries in Hong Kong. I hope you'd tune in more for my upcoming blogposts. Thank you so much! Have a great weekend... 'till next time, bye! -k*

Top of the World

Ah! The Victoria Peak is one of the must-see tourist destinations in Hong Kong. This is definitely one of my favorite spots in the city where you can chill and enjoy the view of Hong Kong. I love going here during night time especially when we eat dinner at Cafe Deco and you can see the view outside the restaurant. It' so magical!

Anyways guys, I'm posting this one because I did have a crazy experience on my last day here. My cousin Bev's family are planning on hiking one fine Sunday morning, and guess where? All the way up to the peak! >.<
At first I was hesitant because I'm not really into hiking and stuff because I'm no sporty person. I'm more of the hiking-to-the-mall type of person. But I just can't say no to them and therefore I was forced to go on hiking from Conduit Road (where they live) up to The Peak.
My cousin Bev, together with her family

 That's me...all sweatin'

"I...don't...ever...wanna..do..this...again!"

I climbed 3 kilometers! At first I think 3 kilometers were short but those 60 minutes of hiking uphill was a bit struggling for me because I'm not used to it.
But at the end of the 3-kilometer calvary, I see the mall!
Me with my nieces Brie and Bella :)

Me and Brie :)

Although I have struggled my way up to the peak and all of my cousins were like laughing at me, at least I am so proud to say that I have made my way to the top of my favorite spot in the city.

...and yeah I got a bit of exercise too ;)

Guys, tune in for my last iWalk Diaries on this travelling experience in Hong Kong..'till next time -k*

Kimmy's Skin Secrets

Hello my fellow bloggers!
Call me vain but today I'm going to share to you the skin care products that I use everyday. Now, why am I sharing this one? Because most of my friends are asking me why do I have flawless skin, but for me it's not really as pixel perfect like Hollywood stars have, but as they say for an average person, it's pretty flawless..awww *blushes*

So I start my day using this Garnier Oil Clear Facial Wash
Okay guys, I really have a bad case of oily skin and I hate it! It really annoys me. Most of the time I keep on applying face powder every hour just to avoid a shiny face, but when I started using this product, my skin is shine-free for as long as 4 hours.

Then after I wash my face, I apply Garnier Light Complete Cream...

To tell you honestly I have been using this product for almost a year now and it never failed me. My skin was too dark before, but when I started using this, my skin becomes lighter and even more healthier looking.

I admit I love to use make up. I'm an addict. I can't go out without wearing make up.
But I can't sleep when my face is all covered with make up. So, that's why I use Human Heart Nature Sunflower Beauty Oil as my make up remover.
I love the fact that it's inexpensive (Php 129.75/US$ 3.07 ) and it has many uses such as whitening and hair coat. It can really remove that waterproof mascara with just a drop of this oil.
Then after I remove all of my make up, I wash my face with Pond's Pure White Facial Foam.

I really like this product from Pond's because it really removes the excess dirt and oil on my face and it gives me that clean feeling that I want.
For me, it's really important to keep the face clean because dirt and oil are the primary cause of acne and pimples which I really hate. When I was just 11 years old, I already had pimples on my face and suffered 'till I was in high school. By the time I was in college and when I realize how to take care of my skin, the pimples started to fade out. They would only appear like once a month when I have my monthly period.

Another tip that I share to most of my friends is always eat BANANAS!
I don't know but I have read an article about bananas that they have anti-aging properties. That's probably one of the reasons why my face is always glowing, and as for my cousin, Cheryl, she thinks that I just had Botox, which I can't afford ;)
I'm a banana monster and I'm not ashamed of that. I eat 2-3 bananas in a day just to keep the stress away, plus it's a very good alternative for a chocolate craving and it's healthy.

So this is me with no make up...

Photos are not edited, guys. Is it really flawless? Well, you'll be the judge ;)
