The GYARU Experiment

Today I was in the mood to experiment. I realized that I have dolly contacts, dyed hair, falsies, and cute outfits. So, why not try to be a gyaru for today?
Gyaru refers to Japanese fashion. They're like real-life dolls. I'm a fan of Tsubasa Masuwaka who is huge in the Japanese fashion industry.

I'm pretty sure if you dress up gyaru style here in the Philippines, people will notice you. So yeah, today I was an object who was definitely the center of attention.
People noticed me and I don't really care what they think or say because all in my head was experimenting, and I don't like to be the center of attention anyway :p
and this is the look...

I did curl my hair and tried a cute hairstyle >.<

My eye make up :)

I'm wearing my Princess Mimi contacts and my NOYL 5P lash both in my upper and lower lashes.

*PRODUCTS USED*
Face:
  • Huroo Huroo Highlight Pop Twist Color Base
  • Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Medium Beige
  • Missha MISA Cho Bo Yang BB Cream
  • Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer in no. 2
  • Nichido powder blush in Peace Glow
  • Victoria Secret Very Sexy Blushing Cream Duo in Heat
Eyes:
  • Etude House Proof 10 eye primer
  • NYX Nude on Nude S119 palette
A - apply on eyelids as base; mix B and C - apply on the crease; E - apply on eyelids as eye color; D - highlight on brow bone; F - highlight on tear duct; G - apply on lower lashes.
  • Nichido eye pencil in Brown
  • Dolly Wink Volume Mascara
  • Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner in Black
  • Fashion21 eyeliner pencil in White
Lips:
  • Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer in no. 2
  • Lip colors from NYX Nude on Nude S119 palette
*Mix the last 2 colors on the right.

  • Candy Doll lip gloss in Strawberry Milk
As you noticed, gyaru look should be flawless, that's why I used a lot of products on my skin just to cover blemishes and scars on my face. I also used my Victoria Secret Blushing Cream Duo as highlight for the cheeks and a light blushing powder.
The eyes should be very noticeable. This can be attained by using dolly eye contacts and white eyeliner to make your eyes appear bigger and doll-like. There's no need to use dark eye shadows. As much as possible use light and shimmery eye shadows. And don't forget to put on lashes :p
And for the lips, apply concealer first before putting on a lip color. Use a light pink color for the lips and top it off with a lip gloss.

kawaii ne? (^.^)v

...and that's all for this look!
I could really LOL for this photo above. Just tryin' to be cute and all? HAHA!
So what do you think? Did I pass on my experiment?
Anyways, I do hope you'd try this gyaru look. It never hurts to try new things you know, you might discover a new side of you ;)

The Summer Chick with Shiseido

Hello gorgeous followers!
So, here's another look using the Shiseido eye shadow quad that I did mention on my previous blogpost.
I know summer is almost over now that I've come up with an idea for a summer look. The palette's colors are so perfect for summer.
But hey! You can wear these eye shadow colors anytime of the year, right?

The eye make up:

let's take a closer look:
I know! My skin is not really good right now due to stress LOL.

*PRODUCTS USED*
Face:
  • Huroo Huroo Highlight Pop Twist Color Base
  • Missha MISA Cho Bo Yang BB cream
  • Shiseido The Make Up cream foundation in Natural Fair Ivory
  • Fanny Serrano cake foundation in Toffee
  • Nichido Blush on powder in Sunkissed
Eyes:
  • Etude House Proof 10 eye primer
  • Shiseido The Make Up Silky eye shadow quad in Dusk to Dawn
A- for the inner tear duct & highlight
B - for the eyelids
C - for the crease
  • Nichido eye pencil in Brown
  • Dolly Wink Volume Mascara
  • ELF Studio Cream eyeliner in Black
Lips:
  • NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo
...and that's it for this look!
I find this look very refreshing. The eye shadows used are very light, silky and shimmery, that's why I prefer a bold matte lip color for this look.

Stay pretty as always, ladies!

Playing green using Shiseido + dupe

It's good to have the chance to post here on my beauty blog once again.
I know y'all have plans for the long weekend, guys, but me, I'd rather stay home and catch up with my blogs (kinda depressing huh?). But that's just what I wanna do now. I might change my mind later :D

Anyways, on my previous blogpost, I did mention there that I'll be posting some new looks using the Shiseido palettes, and this is the new one.
I'm really in love with the color green for the eyes. It really suites my brown eyes. Green eye shadows are perfect for everyday wear, and it's also good for evening events.

I just used the light shade of green on my eyelids and a darker shade of green, almost similar to emerald green on my crease.

*PRODUCTS USED*
Face:
  • Huroo Huroo Highlight Pop Twist Color Base
  • Missha MISA Cho Bo Yang BB cream
  • Shiseido The Make Up cream foundation in Natural Fair Ivory
  • Revlon Beyond Natural blushing powder
Eyes:
  • Etude House Proof 10 eye primer
  • Shiseido The Make Up Silky eye shadow quad in Dusk to dawn
*eye shadows used
  • Shiseido The Make Up Accentuating color (for eyes) in Pink Pearl
  • Lancome matte eye shadow in Lezard (dark brown)
  • Dolly Wink Volume Mascara
  • Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner in Black
Lips:
  • Shiseido lip palette

I know Shiseido is one hell expensive make up and it's not available in most countries, that's why I have a dupe for the eye shadow that I used.

That's right! It's the ELF Eyeshadow Duo in Olive.

But in here is just the light green eye shadow. The silky shimmering effect is exactly the same, however the ELF one is a bit darker compared to the Shiseido one, and the best part is, they have the same lasting effect on the eyelids when used with an eye primer.

...and that's all for this look.
I'll be posting more looks soon using the Shiseido make up palettes and I'll also try my best to find dupes :)

Shiseido LOVE

Hi followers!
Forgive me if I haven't been posting a lot lately on my beauty blog. I was just busy with my review for the boards and Sunday is just my free day.
So, enough chit-chat for now. Last month, my cousin from HK arrived and gave me these awesome make up from Shiseido.
Photo taken via Instagram

Basically, I've got Shiseido The Makeup Brilliant Color Palette

Contains 4 shimmery eye shadows and 4 lip glosses

Shiseido The Makeup Silky Eye Shadow Quad in Dusk to Dawn

I love the colors in this palette! Perfect for brown eyes :)

Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Color (for eyes) in Pink Pearl

 Shiseido Lip Gloss Palette

...and Shiseido The Makeup Cream Foundation in Natural Fair Ivory

A friend of mine also gave me this lipstick from Mary Kate and Ashley.
It's Illuminating Lips in Illuminating Latte with free lip gloss

*swatched*

It's actually a frosted lip color. Perfect for a night-out. Just as what I've expected from the brand of Mary Kate and Ashley's. BTW, this is my very first lipstick from their brand.

...and that sums up just about everything that's added in my make up collection. Looks will be posted as soon as I will have time.
If you have tried any of these products, please let me know, because trust me, it's not everyday that I get to see these brands in malls, plus Shiseido is so expensive.

And if any of you would like to catch up, follow me on Instagram: http://followgram.me/kimycuporiginal/ or @kimycuporiginal

I'm really active on these accounts right now since I'm always busy on my review,
