Kimmy's Skin Secrets

Hello my fellow bloggers!
Call me vain but today I'm going to share to you the skin care products that I use everyday. Now, why am I sharing this one? Because most of my friends are asking me why do I have flawless skin, but for me it's not really as pixel perfect like Hollywood stars have, but as they say for an average person, it's pretty flawless..awww *blushes*

So I start my day using this Garnier Oil Clear Facial Wash
Okay guys, I really have a bad case of oily skin and I hate it! It really annoys me. Most of the time I keep on applying face powder every hour just to avoid a shiny face, but when I started using this product, my skin is shine-free for as long as 4 hours.

Then after I wash my face, I apply Garnier Light Complete Cream...

To tell you honestly I have been using this product for almost a year now and it never failed me. My skin was too dark before, but when I started using this, my skin becomes lighter and even more healthier looking.

I admit I love to use make up. I'm an addict. I can't go out without wearing make up.
But I can't sleep when my face is all covered with make up. So, that's why I use Human Heart Nature Sunflower Beauty Oil as my make up remover.
I love the fact that it's inexpensive (Php 129.75/US$ 3.07 ) and it has many uses such as whitening and hair coat. It can really remove that waterproof mascara with just a drop of this oil.
Then after I remove all of my make up, I wash my face with Pond's Pure White Facial Foam.

I really like this product from Pond's because it really removes the excess dirt and oil on my face and it gives me that clean feeling that I want.
For me, it's really important to keep the face clean because dirt and oil are the primary cause of acne and pimples which I really hate. When I was just 11 years old, I already had pimples on my face and suffered 'till I was in high school. By the time I was in college and when I realize how to take care of my skin, the pimples started to fade out. They would only appear like once a month when I have my monthly period.

Another tip that I share to most of my friends is always eat BANANAS!
I don't know but I have read an article about bananas that they have anti-aging properties. That's probably one of the reasons why my face is always glowing, and as for my cousin, Cheryl, she thinks that I just had Botox, which I can't afford ;)
I'm a banana monster and I'm not ashamed of that. I eat 2-3 bananas in a day just to keep the stress away, plus it's a very good alternative for a chocolate craving and it's healthy.

So this is me with no make up...

Photos are not edited, guys. Is it really flawless? Well, you'll be the judge ;)

Nightlife HK Style

Oh yes! A vacation will never be complete without experiencing the nightlife. Me and my cousins, and some of my cousin Quoi's friends, went out to get a few drinks and party the HK style.

Party destination is Lan Kwai Fong.
Lan Kwai Fong is an ordinary street during daytime, where you can find some of the city's finest restaurants and botiques, but as the sun sets it becomes a party place. You can say it's HK's version of Torres street here in Davao city.

I have checked out a few clubs such as Insomnia and Azure Club. If you're into house music, check out Azure Club on the 29th floor at the Lan Kwai Fong tower, but if you want a live band and some lychee martini, Insomnia is the ultimate place!

 Lychee martini for us ladies!

Before we went out that night, we had our dinner at the Victoria Peak, and I really love the view from up here where you can see the bright lights of the city.

So after the partying, we decided to cure our semi-hangover. We went to this noodle house called Tsun Wah in Lan Kwai Fong, where I was able to try the legendary Hong Kong noodles for the first time.

This wanton noodles is worth HK$ 33, that's like PHP 315! But it's worth it :)

Haha! drunk!

So that's all for the nightlife experience. It was really fun to be with my cousins and we all feel like we are in the same age while partying. Here, I was able to experience wearing very high heels, stilettos to be exact, while dancing, and I'm not really comfortable, and I just can't imagine why some people can pull it off when I  know deep inside their feet is really hurting. But the experience was great and unforgettable :)

If you love travelling and partying all night, I highly recommend to visit Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong where the party starts at 12 midnight.

Tune in for more iWalk Diaries. 'till next time, bye! -k*

HK + ELF = :)

Hey my fellow bloggers! I know some of you have waited for this blogpost, I apologize for the delay.
This time it's all about my HK and ELF haul!

My HK haul includes Huroo Huroo Highlight Pop Twist Color Base in Green and Candy Doll lip gloss in Strawberry Milk.
Now, let's start with the Huroo Huroo color base...

Huroo Huroo is a Korean cosmetic brand, same as Etude House, Tony Moly, and Lioele, but it's a lot cheaper. We bought this make up base for only HK$50/PHP 250. At first I thought it was a whitening cream because that was what the SA told us when she was endorsing this product. This make up base actually covers all the redness of your face and this also helps the make up lasts for all throughout the day. But, I recommend to use this product when you attend special occasions, such as weddings. Another negative thing about it is that it doesn't suit the Philippine weather.

Next is the Candy Doll lip gloss in Strawberry Milk...
I love, love , LOVE this product! I am a big fan of Asian cosmetic brands and there's this another Japanese cosmetic brand that didn't fail on my expectations. Actually, this Candy Doll lip gloss gave me more than what I've expected. For only HK$85/PHP 425, it's incomparable to my Guerlain Kiss Kiss Gloss that worth thousands. Candy Doll lip gloss lasts for hours and it doesn't dry on your lips. My lips are very sensitive, they easily dry out and chap whenever I use lip glosses or even lipsticks, but with this product, it never did! Can't wait to go back in HK to try more of their different shades.

Now let's proceed to my latest cosmetic brand addiction - E.L.F.
I am falling in love with ELF products because aside from the fact that they are inexpensive, they offer cosmetic products that have a very good quality. Again, it's beyond expectation.
So far, I've tried three of their products: Health Glow Bronzing Powder in Warm Tan, Eyeshadow Duo in Olive, and Waterproof Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara in Black.

These days I've always been looking for bronzers, and when I dropped by SM just this Saturday and I saw this stall of ELF cosmetics in SM department store. I saw the testers for the Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder and bought the one in Warm Tan for only PHP 129.75. Surprisingly, this bronzer lasts for at least 6 hours on the face. Warm Tan suits for girls with dark skin like mine, while there's another shade that's lighter than Warm Tan that suits for fair skin.

The reason why I bought this Eyeshadow Duo in Olive was that I was looking for a green eyeshadow that I can use for a daily basis. This one's only PHP 129.75 also.

And last but not the least is the ELF Studio Waterproof Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara in Black. I bought this one for PHP 249.75. For me this mascara is a good one. It's definitely waterproof, it doesn't smudge, and it really gives that volume you truly desire. I also love the fact that it dries quickly. But there's one thing I hate about this product and that it's hard to remove even if you're using an oil-based make up remover! But hey! Look at the bright side, at least it stays longer. :)

So, that's all for this haul. For those of you who haven't tried ELF yet, I highly recommend this product if you're in a tight budget. 'till next time, bye! -k*
