My Random Reality

To all my readers, my life blog now is officially on!

Why am I making this life blog?
If you've read my tweet this afternoon, I am planning to make two more blogs and having this life blog is one of them. I've decided to make Born To Wear Sneakers my very own informative beauty blog.

I'll definitely try my best to post at least once a week on my life blog :)
So, if you're interested to know more of my oh-so-trying-to-make-it-more-interesting life, be a follower of http://everything-randombykim.blogspot.com/

I'd appreciate it a lot! :)
'till next post - k*

21 on 2012

Hi guys!
Sorry to disappoint you but this blogpost is all about my birthday celebration last Saturday, June 9, 2012.
(Photos taken by Kay Co)

I'm really thankful for all the blessings, especially that this year I graduated and finally earned my college degree. I had a blast last Saturday. I spent that day with my family, my boyfriend, Jack, and my friends...the very close ones of course.

My amazing girls...
(From left to right: Carra, Cheese, Kay Co, me, and Kristia)

Team 'Talong' FTW! \m/
(From left to right: Ace, Xandrix, me, and Ronan)

College classmates...
(From left to right: John, Anjo, and Ronan)

ALL OF THEM! awww Jack, why don't you turn around? :(

I know they're few, but you don't really have to have a LOT of friends, right? As long as they are all true to me ;)

 Kay Co's birthday gift :)

MY BIRTHDAY CAKE!!! - a NYANCAKE
I can't help but thank Jack for this one. It was definitely a surprise.

Slicing this precious cake was indeed painful. It was too pretty to eat.

...and that's all for this post.
I'll be back to blogging soon and I would really like to thank all of the blogger friends of mine who have been wishing me a happy birthday and prayed for my mom. You girls are great and I really appreciate all of your concern.

so, 'till next post! - k*

I'm gonna miss BLOGGING

..and the time has come for me to get serious in this career.
Last month I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. Next to that: Passing the board exam.

I would just like to remind my readers that I won't be as active as I am right now for I will be very busy with the review, which will start tomorrow, but it will end on the last week of May.

I will try my best to post some stuff here on my blog because this blogging thing is my stress-reliever and I don't want to stop that, since I knew that reviewing will be a bit stressful.
But I'd still be active in FacebookTwitter, and on Instagram.

so, 'till then - k*

My Graduation Look + sweet surprise

Last Sunday was truly memorable.
Now I could proudly say that I'm a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
It was never an easy road. After 5 years, my hard work paid off.

This look is what I wore on my graduation day...

I'm wearing the Princess Mimi lens of course ;)
It's simple. I just used a few purple eye shadows from the NYX S114 palette.

*PRODUCTS USED*
Face:

  • Garnier Light Whiten & Even Moisturizing cream
  • Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Medium Beige
  • Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer in no. 2
  • Victoria Secret Very Sexy Blushing Cream Duo in Heat
  • a blush powder from NYX S114 palette
*used the one in the bottom right
  • Fanny Serrano cake foundation in Toffee
Eyes:
  • Etude House Proof 10 eye primer
  • NYX S114 palette
A - applied on the eyelids
B - applied on the crease
C - applied on the lower lash line
D - applied on the tear duct/highlight
  • ELF Eyebrow Kit in Dark
  • Nichido Tru Lahes
  • Maybelline Long Extreme Stiletto waterproof mascara
Lips:
  • Etude House Look at My Lips in no. 10 Spotlight Beige
  • Guerlain Kiss Kiss Gloss in no. 865
and that's it for this look...

Graduation was indeed one of the best days of my life. I didn't celebrate much after, but at least it's done. 5 years in that institution was not a total joke.
I started with nothing, meaning, I didn't know what actually the course I chose will be like.
And now, I'm well-equipped with knowledge as I step into the real world - passing the board exam.

Anyways, my boyfriend gave me a very sweet surprise that day...it's my favorite RED VELVET CAKE!
it's from Margie's Bakeshop of course...

mmm....sweet!

and we ended the day with a one-on-one
LOL it's that beer from San Miguel with 3% alc content and it's lemon flavoured
Yes, I drink occasionally right now, unlike the very first years in college, I do drink a lot.

I salute to all the graduates of batch 2012. May God continually bless them and guide them in the right path.
Congratulations! - k*

On my list: Green eyes

Wow! My first pair of contact lens.
Another one from my list is to wear contact lens, the circle ones from GEO of course.
I got Princess Mimi...yay!
Bought this one at Rainbow Project, located at 2nd floor Fashion Walk of Gaisano Mall of Davao, in Bajada, Davao city. (Facebook page here.)

Item Details:
Weight: 0 kg, 100 grams
Manufacturer: Geo Medical
Diameter : 15mm
Water Content : 38%
Base Curve : 8.6mm
Life Span : 1 year disposal

I choose the one in apple green since I have auburn hair right now.
*close up*

I've always wanted to have a pair of this one from the Princess Mimi series. I'm not really a fan of circle lens, but so far it isn't that bad. I love the result but still I'm trying to get used to it since it's my first time.

For those of you who have tried these lens, I want to know your honest opinions. I would really appreciate that :) - k*

On my list: Hello Ginger!

Hi guys \o/
It's been really a busy week due to preparation and graduation practices. I know I haven't been posting much, it really makes me a bad blogger >.<
Ever since last year I have been making a list of what to buy and what to do in order to prepare for graduation. Excited much, I know.
One of my list is to..dye my hair!
Last Saturday, my aunt helped me to color my hair using the Revlon Colorsilk in Dark Auburn.
Bought in Watsons for P 395.00

Product includes the ff:

...and the results...
BEFORE

AFTER
It doesn't really make that much difference in the photo, but in person it really is a deep brownish red color which I really like.

voila!

I'm loving this product from Revlon because it's so easy to use. According to the instructions, 30 minutes is okay, but I waited for 45 minutes before I rinsed it...plus the conditioner smells nice and it definitely leaves your hair smooth and silky. - k*

Need to unwind

I really have issues when it comes to rejection.
Probably because I've already experienced it since I was 4 years old.

This blog post maybe a bit personal, so, sorry for that >.<

This past few weeks I've been slapped on the face. Not just once, but TWICE!
I won't tell you the reason behind it, but I'm just sharin' y'all what I feel.

..yes, I'm trying to look for these babies here around the city (photos are not mine btw)

For me it hurts because...
1.) The freakin' reality that you cannot please everybody is so UNFAIR! Not fair to the point that people you thought that would support you would go for superficial things. Human nature it is!

2.) Looks are everything. To bad I wasn't born with them.

3.) Talents are wasted, because again, LOOKS will always be everything!

....and last...

4.) Someone will always be better than you. I KNOW! I already know that from the very start.

So, what can I do?
I've been asking friends for advises and it all results to accept my defeat. My DOUBLE defeat. :(

Think it's time for me to unwind..
The Wanted - "Glad You Came"

I've been listening to this song over and over again for the pat few days just for me to relax a bit. For me, it's totally a party song, enough for me to forget everything that I've put effort to.
Sometimes I feel that I'm always doing something that will make look stupid at the first place, because I already knew from the start that nobody is willing to support me all the way.

50% of me wants to give up, but the other half wants me to pursue it. I'm confused and I'm already lacking my confidence to face this situation.

Guess I'm all by myself *sighs*

LOL enough of this drama

'till next post - k*

It's Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines my fellow bloggers!
Wow! How I wish that everyday is Valentines Day...
Not just because my boyfriend was extra sweet today, but seeing people all around me, single or not, spreading the love makes me so happy.

Like any other couple, we celebrated this day with a movie and a dinner after at Duo Commis.
awww!!! the TULIPS were unexpected. According to him, white tulips mean sincerity

We Watched 'The Vow' at Abreeza mall...

Is that the hungry face? LOL

He also gave me a basket of my favorite chocolates

These tulips are amazing!

The message says "I Love You, Bewby" :D

Yes, I'm in a NO CHOCOLATE rule, but today is an exception... x

..and again, yes, I love Lindt Chocolate

That's all for this post :)
So, how was your Valentines day this year? How were you able to celebrate it?
Remember, single or not, it really doesn't matter, as long as you were able to express the love to those people who are very dear to you.

'till next time..- k*

24 months and counting ♥

Yes, friends...I'm happy and in love !!!

This is actually my first time to write about us ever since I started blogging (just saying :p)
Last January 31, 2012, me and my boyfriend, Jack, celebrated our 2nd anniversary.
Can't believe that it's been 2 years since we made our relationship official. It really has been a rollercoaster ride for the both us.

Like any love story, we were once strangers.
I met him last December of 2009. Me and my friends watched "Paranormal Activity". One of my friends introduced him to me. Wasn't really interested of meeting him of course.
But when January 2010 came, it was a whole new beginning. We begin to exchange text messages with each other. He asked me out and we had our first date at Chicco di Caffe and Avenida.

To be honest, I wasn't prepared to be in a relationship that time and he wasn't also. Our relationship was so rough that I was actually thinking of giving up. He was also thinking of the same thing.
But days passed, we started to get along well. He taught me how to compromise and open up to him when it comes to problems. I feel safe when I'm with him and I really love the way he takes care of me.

It all makes sense because in love, we don't always get what we want, but instead, we get what we need...ayii~!

He may not be perfect for everybody, but for me I'm hoping that he's the right one...
It's not everyday you get to meet a very nice guy.
He's just like any ordinary guys out there: He likes gaming. He watches anime. He likes techie gadgets. He's into cars and other guy stuff.

I know us girls are always looking for the perfect one. But remember, there's no such thing as perfect.
Ever since I met him, I learn to appreciate the things around me and that makes him very special :)

So, back to our anniversary...
Since it's exam week, I decided that we should celebrate it as simple as we can.
We had our lunch at Matina Swiss Deli

... and those doughnuts?
My anniversary gift :)

..and that's all for this post..'till next time - k*

Yearbook Pictorial

"You'll only graduate college once in your life, (well, unless you want to proceed to another course after you graduated) so you really want to make your yearbook photo memorable and worth keeping."
That's what my friends who already graduated told me before the yearbook pictorial...
ahhh...your photo on that yearbook of yours, you want it to perfect, right? I didn't have second thoughts on letting my best friend, K-anne, do my hair and make up for me and my friends.
Last January 22, 2012 we were at the HRM building of UIC for our yearbook pictorial.
Zandra's up first :)

Finished look :)

Ate Althea is up! K-anne is putting Etude House's Proof 10 eye primer on her eyelids

According to K-anne, my friend Rhobe reminds her of the Korean actress  Jun Ji-hyun of 'My Sassy Girl'

MY TURN! lol

I am STARTRUCKED! thanks to K-anne

My friend Kate looks so pretty :)

..that was just behind the scenes.
Me and my classmates really had fun during the pictorial and it's all because of K-anne.
yearbook group photo

We'll never regret our faces when we see it again in 3, 12, or even 20 years from now.

..to make it even more memorable, the photographers let us have a photo with our beautiful make up artist.

Thanks a bunch, K-anne! x
