NYX Xtreme Lip Cream Review + Swatches

Here's another NYX product review for all you make up junkies out there...

That's right! It's the NYX Xtreme Lip Cream

Bought this one at Rainbow Project, located at Fashion Walk, 2nd floor of Gaisano Mall of Davao in Bajada.

They sell these babies for P 300.00 each.

I bought three of them, varying from a nude to red to pink one.

According to NYX, it's not lipstick, nor is it gloss. It's like nothing you've experienced before. It's liquid lipstick that goes on with full Xtreme color and intense shine.

It has a variety of 11 shades, same as the Soft matte Lip Cream.

XLC11 Nude Peach Fuzz (same as SMLC's Istanbul) 

 XLC07 Absolute Red (same as SMLC's Monte Carlo)

XLC06 Pinky Nude (same as SMLC's San Paulo)

...and now I'm gonna narrow it down to each shade.

Let's start with XLC11 Nude Peach Fuzz

 It's a light peachy-pink color, almost similar to that NYX round lipstick in Strawberry Milk. It suits better for girls with fair skin. For morena skin, like mine, this is not the right shade. 

Next is XLC06 Pinky Nude

 First I thought it was just an ordinary pinkish-almost-fuschia color like the SMLC in San Paulo, but for me, I think it's the perfect dolly pink color for all skin types.

..and last but not the least, XLC07 Absolute Red

This is actually my personal fave. It's a rich red color and it's so perfect for all skin types.

OVERALL:

Pro's:

• The product is highly pigmented
• It's extremely glossy
• The perfect lipstick + lip gloss combination
• Lasts for 3-4 hours (for me, that's okay)
• It's moisturizing. Doesn't dry on the lips easily.

Con's:

• Shades are limited. Only 11 are available. I hope NYX is going to release more shades of this product
• For its price, I find it a bit pricey.
• It only contains 7 mL (sad)
• Can only be bought online on some territories.

Overall rating: 4/5

Born to wear something from Sneaker Club :)

Hi guys! Today I'm not going to post about beauty or food.

This blogpost is intended for "Blog For A Shoe" contest.

I'm not really into heels or like any other girl out there who loves fancy shoes (trust me, I may be a girl, but I really don't understand why girls have this fascination for shoes >.<)

Here in Davao, we may have a lot of shops that sell sneakers, but what I love about Sneaker Club, they sell Vans, Nike, Adidas, New Balance, and it's the only shop here in the city that sells Onitsuka Tiger!

 One of their new arrivals is this very cute Nike sneakers that really caught my eye.

Nike originated in the US, Oregon to be specific, and it was known as Blue Ribbon Sports (BRS) at 1964. They used to be partners with Onitsuka Tiger, but when their partnership came to an end,on 1971, they changed their name to Nike.

I like the one in black and violet better :)

What really impressed me is that Sneaker Club has Onitsuka Tiger.

Onitsuka tiger was founded in 1949 at Kobe, Japan. 

Ever since, these shoes become a fashion statement around the world when Uma Thurman wore them in Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2

I can really say that we Davaoenos are so lucky to have this store in the city.

It's Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines my fellow bloggers!

Wow! How I wish that everyday is Valentines Day...

Not just because my boyfriend was extra sweet today, but seeing people all around me, single or not, spreading the love makes me so happy.

Like any other couple, we celebrated this day with a movie and a dinner after at Duo Commis.

He also gave me a basket of my favorite chocolates

Yes, I'm in a NO CHOCOLATE rule, but today is an exception... x

24 months and counting ♥

Yes, friends...I'm happy and in love !!!

This is actually my first time to write about us ever since I started blogging (just saying :p)

Last January 31, 2012, me and my boyfriend, Jack, celebrated our 2nd anniversary.

Can't believe that it's been 2 years since we made our relationship official. It really has been a rollercoaster ride for the both us.

Like any love story, we were once strangers.

I met him last December of 2009. Me and my friends watched "Paranormal Activity". One of my friends introduced him to me. Wasn't really interested of meeting him of course.

But when January 2010 came, it was a whole new beginning. We begin to exchange text messages with each other. He asked me out and we had our first date at Chicco di Caffe and Avenida.

To be honest, I wasn't prepared to be in a relationship that time and he wasn't also. Our relationship was so rough that I was actually thinking of giving up. He was also thinking of the same thing. 

But days passed, we started to get along well. He taught me how to compromise and open up to him when it comes to problems. I feel safe when I'm with him and I really love the way he takes care of me.

It all makes sense because in love, we don't always get what we want, but instead, we get what we need...ayii~! 

He may not be perfect for everybody, but for me I'm hoping that he's the right one...

It's not everyday you get to meet a very nice guy.

He's just like any ordinary guys out there: He likes gaming. He watches anime. He likes techie gadgets. He's into cars and other guy stuff.

I know us girls are always looking for the perfect one. But remember, there's no such thing as perfect.

Ever since I met him, I learn to appreciate the things around me and that makes him very special :)

So, back to our anniversary...

Since it's exam week, I decided that we should celebrate it as simple as we can.

We had our lunch at Matina Swiss Deli

... and those doughnuts?

Heart Series: Teenage Sweetheart

This is going to be my last look for this heart series.

As I was listening to Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream", it came up into my mind about the feeling of falling in love during high school..and that's why I came up with this look.

Simple, lovely, and youthful. Suitable for teens and teens at heart.

Teens don't like wearing too much make up, that's why I came up with a look using a couple of matte eye shadows from my NYX S119 palette and that very cute winged eye, and I also noticed that a LOT of teens are hooked up with lip gloss (trust me, when I was in high school, I'm in love with lip gloss too), that's why I included a light pink lip gloss in this look.

I really had fun creating some looks for Valentines Day.

Too simple, eh?

I just used one color of eye shadow and that's a light pink color because I just want to make it a very simple and easy to do make up look. I'm not really a huge fan of cream eye shadows, but there are some certain events that I prefer wearing them, just like a date for example. 

Being sexy doesn't mean wearing short skirts and mini dresses or wearing too much make up that will make you look like a Kim-Kardashian-wannabe..

Being SEXY is all about personality. It is on how you deliver that God-given beauty
